We’re back in the office and just about recovered from our first ever Truckfest Scotland. Last weekend, we made the journey north for our debut at Truckfest in Edinburgh. For the last 5 years we’ve been regular attendees at Truckfests across England, but this year we decided it was time to branch out and go to an event that was brand new to us and it was fantastic!
While the weather wasn’t perfect, we were fortunate enough that the wind was mild so we could once again launch our big balloon which was seen far and wide from across the site, attracting thousands of visitors to our stand over the two days we were there.
These festivals always give us a brilliant opportunity to meet some of our customers and in Edinburgh, we managed to put some more faces to familiar names. We met George from the Edinburgh Coach and Truck Park (EH15 2QA) as well as Bill from Route 74 (ML11 0JN). Getting feedback on the service we provide from valued customers is always very welcome, even more so at events like Truckfest when it’s face to face as opposed to just over the phone.
Following the recent launch of partner app intruck, we have had a lot of excitement and interest from drivers. While some weren’t yet familiar, many were and they were eager to find out more information about what it can offer them. Towards the end of the Sunday, we were happy to make an appearance in the Sponsors’ Lounge, following a weekend of amazing stunt cars and monster trucks, to present the Best in Show award to John Templeton.
Despite the lengthy journey to and from the festival, something with which all of our drivers are undoubtedly familiar, we all had a fantastic time and we’re already looking forward to returning again next year. Fortunately for us, the next Truckfest is in Norwich, a much nicer 17 mile drive rather than the 393 miles last weekend. Roll on August 19th!
